Is it true that a download manager helps in making download speed faster? If so, which is the best download manager to download for free? Also, which free file hosting site has the fastest download or maybe upload speed? :)

Your computer's download speed can only be as fast as what your Internet Service Provider(ISP) provides.

If your computer is getting 90% or more of its advertised download speed, there isn't an issue.

No third-party app can magically increase the speed.

Software indeed cannot make your download faster, but if you have multiple NICs in your computer you can potentially increase the download. I had a customer that had 4 NICs in the computer... it was downloading about 4MB per sec!

Older routers can limit the newer faster ISP speeds. Well show up when you download.

I think some app (IDM etc.) has their property to download file with good speed as well as it also depends on ISP speed.
