I want to keep Damn Small Linux on the hard drive. I have a live cd and it works on my Windows ME computer but how do I install DSL to my hard drive?

Make a partition in the hard drive first, use DSL installer and install it in the newly created partition.

If your hard disk has no unallocated space you run a reszier program like Gparted or Parted Magic, both obtainable as Live CD, to move the existing partition boundaries to create empty space for the extra partition creation.

The above is the same for any Linux (some may need an swap partition too), same of any MS Windows and same for any operating system.
