Can you post pictures? If there's no clip it should come off pretty easy with a light pull.

I'll bet there is a latch .... on top with the drive up >>> Pictures Here
I have some newer cables with a plastic latch not shown above but in the same place

I think you have right angle connectors ..
They should come out at you ... not in the direction of the cable.
I have some that do not have a latch ???
I'd suggest to wait to see what Triple 6 says and get a second opinion

Do you have any idea about the power supply as well? They're just as hard to get out.

Neither picture shows the top of the connector where a latch/clip would be, in these pictures the drives and connectors are upside down so look on the bottom. If there is no latch/clip then they should just pull off unless someone has glued them which isn't visible in the pictures, it wasn't uncommon to hot glue connectors a long time ago so they wouldn't fall off; no one really does that anymore though and you'd be able to see the hot glue. And as mentioned above you want to pull the cables off by pulling straight back from the drive.

My latest HP computer HP 500-267 (I have two of them) came with right angle connectors and no latches.
The SATA connectors I showed above came out of these computers ...
As I recall, being a little nervous .. I initially worked them out slowly.
But mine were bent in the opposite direction that you show ???
The cables have been changed when I added a HDD and a SDD :D
