How do I restore my operating system?

    Dell Dimension 98
    I'm trying to reinstall my Resource CD
    but I need help. What do I do next???
    (Important files were deleted when I downloaded Easy Cleaner

    can you provide more info - what happens or not - error messages.
    I dont know dell well - but the recovery CD should boot and provide you with a menu of options.

    However, DELL website provide a great support site where you can update you PC for any missing files - you just need the TAG number which is usually stuck onto the PC - of course that assumes the PC boots and you can get on the web

    The site for Easy Cleaner describes the program functionality as:

    "Unnecessary files can also be sought and deleted as well as locating duplicate files. I only wish some sort of filter were included with the duplicate file finder since I am not really confident deleting files of the same name but in different directories. However, you do have the option to delete the files or send them to the recycle bin, the latter is the one I chose, and then I created a new folder and put those files in it just in case I need to reinstall one of them."

    Didn't you save the files in case you had to undelete them??

    I haven't seen any DELL 98 machine. Do you mean a DELL machine with a Win98 OS?
