i am trying to install my video card (GeForce FX5200) and i want to install the drivers that come with it but i cannot seem to do so. XP just takes over and when i boot up it detects the new card and installs the windows drivers.

I want to stop this from happening.

    any idea how?

I would not install the drivers that come on the disk, I have that same card and i went to the link above and installed the latest drivers. I am using XP Pro and they seem to be working fine. If you are concerned at all about downloading the latest drivers from NVIDIA just make sure your restore is on, I personally keep my restore off until i do something like this then i turn it on and if all is well after a while i go back and turn it off.
