How do I stop the "it's now safe to turn off your computer" message

    I am running win98 se. the mother board is a S1590s Trinity 100AT . Thanks in advance for the help.

    I want to not only stop it but just shut down the computer

    Has it ever shut down without showing that message? That is pretty normal, by the way ;)

    I think it has to do with the AT vs the ATX....although I could be wrong......

    Actually it seemed to work before I installed all the drivers and just had default windows 98 installed (I am doing a fresh install of windows98se)
