I wanna get rid of Win Media Player which I'm just fed up with and which is a bit out of tune. But what's the best way to do this??
Cause I've tried in Add/remove progs and there is no option to uninstall WMP in it. There's also no 'uninstall' file in WMP directory. Are there any other possibilities??

Big thanks...

What version of media player are you trying to get rid of? Win98 came with version 6.4 as standard, but you could have updated it.
You could also just ignore it and disassociate all your files from it so they play in the player of your choice.

That's right, it's a 6.4, no updates so far...

I did that but just want to get rid of it to save some space and not to see it.....
Don't like to have progs installed which I don't use any more....;)

Fair enough. I'm not sure you can remove 6.4 from Win98. I'm unfamiliar with that OS. But normally wmp is part of windows and is tricky to dig out. WMP 6.4 isn't that big a file but I know what you mean when you want to get rid of everything you don't use. Maybe someone knows of a way.
This'll bump your thread to the top again anyway.
