For a couple days now, whenever I log on to the computer, I get an error message box that says "The Parameter is Incorrect." I press okay, but it doesn't seem to go away. So I press, control-alt-delete and the windows task manager box appears. I press New Task and then type in "desktop" and press okay. I get the screen to go and it works, but the computer is really slow. Just the other day, I was on Spybot doing some scans on the computer and I downloaded some updates. Could that have affected it? How do you get rid of/fix/or remove the Parameter is Incorrect? It doesn't seem to be working for anything I have tried. Thank you so much!

Is that the exact message you are getting at startup? If not, please give us the complete message.
