What should one pay for a used monitor? We have been offered a Dell N20 Metro M20w but haven't agreed on a price.

    First Name:
I would look around the internet and sites such as eBay or Craigs List to see what the same model is selling for. Used PC hardware doesn't really keep its value and used hardware sells at whatever similar models sell for, so also check what similar models sell for.

It doesn't appear that the info you provided is correct, you should verify the model number of the monitor. Actually it appears to be maybe two models. The Metro M20W is a 20" LCD that sold around $300 new in 2006, but a new 20" monitor now sell for $100 brand new. And Metro isn't even a good brand, so maybe like $25.
