Hi!

I'd like some help with my website: Drops of Wisdom
I already update posts to twitter, facebook, tumblr, reddit, pinterest, and stumbleupon, but my traffic is still low.

How can I improve it and draw more traffic?

thanks!

When I linked to your site my anti-virus (AVAST) blocked it as containing malware! I'd start there...

Weird. my address is the same. I have two domains though. Please try again and let me know. It's working great for me without any false positives. I'm using NOD32 though.

Mmmm... I tried again and this time it was a little more specific - showing me this url - http://www.eyalo.com/|{gzip}
It appears you have a compressed file on the site which AVAST doesn't like...

Ok that has cleared the blockage from AVAST and having looked at your source you are geared for the search engines crawling of your site (<meta name="keywords" content ...), which takes place at their discretion. If you haven't already done so, I would submit your site for crawling by the big boys (Google, Bing etc.,). This can be facilitated by Googling something like "site submission to search engines" and following through with the results (it costs nothing and there are a few sites who offer to do it for you, but thereafter you'll be plagued with their advertising bumff!, so rather take the time to do it manually). In addition to that just ensure that your keyword selection is reflected in your site, as mis-representation will be penalised in terms of ranking.

Depending upon your budget you may want to consider Google Adwords as an avenue to build up a following, bearing in mind that you can pull out as soon as your site has reached a desired level of popularity.

You may want to consider reducing the size of your landing page putting the overflow in a "more.html" with a clickable link in the homepage. I say this because your rankings are also affected by your landing page load time.

Good Luck:) and I'm sure others will be able to offer you more advise

content also plays a vital part in drawing and maintaining a following. That's not to say anything negative about the current content though.

It also good to target a niche and cater to it, round up a loyal following.

Hi evertbody,

Ok, load speed is something important. You can test your site speed with http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/, tested from newyork server the load time was 7.3 sec, is very high. A good value is less than 3 sec. Optimize load speed is an art, you can see this post: http://diythemes.com/thesis/improve-website-pagespeed/ but it takes time to optimize.
Also you can see this web with plugins for WP: http://blog.templatemonster.com/2012/03/01/wordpress-plugins-speed-up-blog-website/

Another thing to take care is the SEO part, with WP is relatively easy, you can use some plugins: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/

Hope it helps.

Thanks for reading

Pretty basic standard WordPress theme. Use a logo, not just text. I dunno.
