I made a bart pe boot disk on my desktop and wanted to test to see if it would boot my laptop -- both xp v 5.1 sp3. This is the first time I have tested a boot disk, so maybe I don't know the steps. I want to make sure I can get to the C: drive.

I get the bart pe screen with the GO button in lower left, but what do I do now? My laptop is working fine and I don't want to mess it up. I just want to test the boot disk.

You should be able to see your hard drive with the Bart PE disk. It comes with A43 File Management by default.

I get to the Bart PE screen, with the GO button in the bottom left (where the start-button should be).

But I don't know what to do then. How do I get to the hard drive?

    thanks

Doesn't sound like you installed any plugins if you don't see any programs to launch.
