Only install 1 anti-virus program. Having more than one will cause system problems.

You can install other security programs : like VoodooShield, OSArmor.

Also consider adding browser extensions such as NoScript, AdBlockPlus, Malwarebytes Browser extension, Ghostery.

Just go with Malwarebytes,it has all you need.
    It has,
    web protection,
    exploit protection,
    malware protection,
    ransomware protection.

The recent Malwarebytes is one app with the coverage Mr Newton posted.
    A suite of softwares.
Common opinion at TSG is that the antivirus element often doesn't play well on a Win 10 platform.

But slow? Not that I've heard of unless another antivirus app is running at the same time.

I'm no longer on a MS platform ( in regards to networking/Internet usage ) but I did find the malware aspect of MBAM very positive on a Win7 platform and now with their browser extension, good browser security on a Linux platform.

Windows 10 comes with Windows Defender, which is sufficient protection.
If you do not like Windows Defender, you can install a different antivirus program. Make sure you only use one antivirus, and keep it up-to-date.
