How safe is it to use a PSU with missing voltages ??

Hi..I was wondering..I have a power supply which I tested with an ATX tester and it showed that the 5-V was missing from the motherboard power connector...is it safe to use ?? any info is appreciated

The -5V is not used by most motherboards, and is fading away. It's quite possible that the P/S doesn't have -5V. The -5V on this system reads -2.89 if the motherboard monitor is to be believed, but it also is not used according to the manual.
