How to backup to cd-r with password protection?

I've just replaced my zip drive with a cdrw. I used to keep backups on zips..and liked the password protection of the device, though I am aware that it can be broken. Is there a way to backup to cd-r with password protection?

One way to do it if your backing-up MS Office files is using their password protection feature for each file. Although this may get a bit boring setting a password for each file.

If you had a look around the web they must be a piece of freeware that does what you want.

What burning software are you using?

Another option would be to use Ghost. You can password protect the images. I have never used their Explorer like interface, but I am sure it would do the same thing. Why couldn't you still use password protected zip files archived to a CD-R....same thing as doing it to a zip drive.
