I have a couple music downloads that are in .rar format (whole cd's) and normally I can open them with winrar and it's very simple and straightforward to burn them (folders of music) but I have a couple that are .bin and .cue files after I extract them. The .bin files are sizable and the .cue files are very small. I tried burning the .cue files to cd and I get nothing (even though it's acting like it's burning a normal cd). What am I doing wrong?

    Are these legal downloads?

Alcohol will burn bin/cue images, as will most other burners. Look for the option. The cue file is the one that contains the information, while the bin has the data. If you burn it as an image, the option is available in Nero, too, to use the cue.

It's possible that it's a bad download, and possibly masked as a CD when it could be malware.

Most, if not all legal downloads are not in RAR/ISO/BIN-CUE formats.

I'm using RAR and SQX more often these days due to the small increase in compression ratio. I don't want to condemn without more evidence, of course. But the odds are as you say they are.
