Pretty much impossible. Any attempt will make your machine possibly unusable.

To get C:, you need to re-install from scratch with no other drives visible to setup so that C: is not assigned to them.

OK thanks that was not the news I wanted to hear but sometimes learning the hardway teaches you a better lesson.

The only reason I don't say "impossible" is that if you were dedicated enough and had a lot of time, you could, theoretically change all the 100's of registry entries that refer to F:, try to find all the references inside programs and .ini files that point to F:, and then maybe get the system running. But the chances are small. You'd spend a lot less time and have a better chance of success by just starting over.

Does the PC have existing drives with Windows already loaded on them? Or partitions with data already on them? Please explain your setup as I am curious why Windows decided to install on an "F:\" partition?

I have a backup drive that is partitioned in 2 drives. Seems windows put those 2 drives first and the dvd writer as well. The writer is the Master and the backup drive the slave
