At startup my PC loads the "connect to" box for connection to the Internet. I want to change this so the box appears only when I want to go online. How do I do this?

    Welcome to TSG!

It is apparent there is some program that is trying to access the Internet at Boot. This program could be approved or it could be Spyware. The best place to start is to have a look at your Startups.

Go Here and download Startuplist. Once downloaded run the program and post the results back here for review.

    there is another simple way.
goto start > run > type msconfig > go to start up > disable the item you dont want.

do mail back if this solved the problem.

P.S post the start up list to see that you dont have any spyware.

    Hi danny,

You can go into Internet Options / Connections / and check the box that says, "Never dial a connnection".
