I have the same problem as someone who previously posted (Craig Holzman) and the post was closed with an answer I don't understand.
The response made reference to a specific registry value that I could not locate within my registry.
I am using Windows XP Professional SP3. Can anyone help me with this?
I was hoping to find a way to change the order of the items in the context menu under windows xp sp2.

As an example, when i right click on MY COMPUTER, the order of the items should be:

    1. Open
    2. Explore
    3. Search
    4. manage

For some reason, Explore is at the top, followed by open, search, and manage, and it's driving me nuts.

I have searched thru the registry to find the entries, but when I get there I can't find any way to change the order of the menu. I have followed the path:

but once there, I have no options to change.

Am i even close? Is there another registry key I am missing? Any ideas would be helpful!

The one at the top is usually the default. If you want 'explore' at the top, and you are using XP, just open Windows Explorer, click Tools, Folder Options, File Types. Scroll to "Folder", and click Advanced. Click once on 'Explore', and Click, "Set Default'. OK OK

If you want Open at the top, click Open, Set Default.
