Run Windows XP with SP2. OE6. Often would like to copy a selected OE message to the corresponding file in My Documents. Only way I know at the moment is to copy the OE message, open Word 2003, place in a blank document and then Save As. Is there a method corresponding to placing the OE message from inbox to whatever folder in OE I prefer?
    Thanks
    Geezer77.

    Hi Geezer77

Just drag the message out of Outlook Express and into the folder you designate, it will then change to an .eml extension.

In Outlook Express, Right click on the message, select Move and select the folder you want to move it into.

Let me know if this works or not.

    Slight variation.

If you really prefer text vs eml format....on the individual email, click File. Choose Save As... then down below where it shows .eml click the arrow and choose text files (.txt).
