I replaced the hard drive on my Dell Inspiron 8200 and reinstalled XP Pro. My first attempt didn't work and I installed the OS a second time.
Now when I start up I get a screen that asks me which OS I want to start in (both choices are the same - Windows XP Pro). If I select one of them Windows boots normally. If I select the bad version my system won't boot and I get an error message stating there is a "disk hardware configuration problem".
How do I remove the second (bad) version of the OS so that I don't get this choice and the system will boot automatically?
