When you turn on my sons's PC, it says "To begin, click your user name". No password, just click the name. Now he's in college and using only his laptop. The PC is what I like to use when I'm upstairs, but it is annoying to always have to click his name on startup, or on restart... I'm sure there must be a way to get rid of this step - I don't have this on my PC, purchased around the same time.

I figured y'all would be able to tell me what to do to fix this.

    Start, Run, control userpasswords2

You can select your account and have it automatically login when you boot.
