Might also look at clicking the FN key and see if you can disable it from one of the choices at the top of screen.

What kind of touchpad do you have?
Also some drivers dont have the same features as others...its a matter of finding the right driver..then installing it in compatibility mode for vista

Did you install the touchpad driver from Sony or are you using one that was provided by Windows 7? I'm guessing the latter; you need to install the proper driver.

The only thing that I have no driver now is Intel ICH9M LPC Interface Controller - 2919 but I don't think that it has to do with the touchpad.

I think you should not disable it. It's might be good to just let it running because you might need it if one time come.

I believe you have an alps touchpad

go get the driver and see if there is an option to disable the touchpad while the usb mouse is plugged in.
If the option is there then we will have to find a driver that does

Well how about buying a USB key board instead. It'll be so hard if you disable when sometimes you'll need it.

When it's needed you just click on the "Enable" button. :) The only hard part about that is figuring out or remembering the key strokes to get there if you have no mouse.
