I have an old Dell Desktop running Windows Vista. I need to work remotely from a laptop, but need the Windows Vista 'Username" and "Access Code" on my Dell to be able to access it. I cannot find these two things - can someone tell me how to access them? Thank you. Maggie Holmes

How are you going to work remotely
There are a number of methods
If you have set the access code for whatever method you are using and on remote desktop - windows that is the password as you would enter normally to access windows - the same is used for remote desktop - the name of the computer is as shown on
    right click computer

    Here is an example

There are as I said many other ways to remote
If you have used another system then indeed you may have been given or generated an access code

So at this stage please explain which provider you are using for remote access
