After I re-installed Bing Desktop, I got a message: Bing Desktop files are corrupt; uninstall program and then re-install. I have done this twice but I get the same message. I have tried to run SFC but there were no errors found.
Now when I try to download updates to my anti-virus and other such programs, each program fails to find my internet connection, although my browser works.

Have you run chkdsk /r from an elevated command prompt?

Did you run sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt?

    Please provide your system information.

When did you initially install Bing Desktop? When did the problem begin? What changed?
