How to format a hard drive w/o a floppy drive

    I have a laptop with a partition HD. I want to re-format the entire drive and delete the partition. The problem I have is that I do NOT have a floppy drive and only have a CD Rom drive.

    I can find figure out how to reformat with out a floppy drive to boot from.

    Please help me!!!!

    Running XP now and want to re-install it after.

    Simply boot from the XP CD. It should do the lot.
    XP does not usually use a boot floppy.

    You should be able to boot the XP CD as kiwiguy has indicated and you'll find it has all the tools necessary for the partitioning, formatting and reinstalling XP.
