Is there a reason why you cannot use a DVD?

    1) Any method of installing Windows 7 that requires preparation (e.g. copying the DVD to an external HD) will probably take longer than installing from the DVD-and probably won't make the installation any faster than installing it from a USB Flash drive. (Depends on the USB speed though-if you only have USB 1.1 but can install from an external Firewire drive it'd be faster-but the prep time, i.e. copying it from the DVD to the external drive will still negate any savings you'll see on the install.)

    2) Are you sure your problem is the length of time it takes to install Windows 7? The speed with which your screensaver runs definitely isn't affected by that. Perhaps you're asking about ways to make your Windows 7 PC start & run faster? If that's the case then you'll get more help by being a little more clear about what the problem is.

I'm not sure what your original problem was .. But maybe it could have been repaired.
Have you made a Repair CD ??

I can recover my system faster than you can read the DVDs .. Using Drive Imaging
Macrium Tutorial .. But I use Acronis
