I unzipped it but my version of winzip wont allow me to make a bootable CD and i dont even know which file to open to install GParted let alone make a bootable CD to use on another faulty computer

help ?

i registered at the GParted forums but waiting 2 hours so far for an email to confirm my registration so i can post on their site . LOL

I searched through their support and manuals site but they dont actually tell you that first simple step to get it installed . . .

The GPart download is an .ISO, you need to burn that to a disc as an image using image burning software. You do not extract it or use Winzip with it.

Windows 7 has built in burning support for this, simply right click on the ISO file and select burn disc image. See here for more info: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows7/burn-a-cd-or-dvd-from-an-iso-file

If you have Windows XP you can download a free add-on to give you the same functionality, also works with Vista and 7 as a replacement as well: http://alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
