Does anyone know how to make all video movie files on a portable hard drive to look like a netflix menu with cover art displayed to each movie PERMANENTLY when viewing on a sony 4k player not on PC? without using plex or anything else that needs internet

Yes to play any movie file in MP4 or MKV or AVI that are stored on a USB flash drive or portable hard drive connected via the usb port to a bluray player and have the artwork similiar to netflix to select movie

I didn't see a usb port on your 4k Blu-Ray ???
Here's several MP4 HD videos to a Flash drive >> to the usb port on my Samsung Smart TV ...
The selection graphics is determined by the TV ....
(operationally similar to netflix ?? )

Is this what you're looking for ???

Same Flash to the usb port on my older Sony Blu-Ray player.
The selection graphics is determined by the Blu-Ray

If you have a usb on your newer 4k Blu-Ray,
the selection graphics should be a lot better.

Other than Authorizing the video(s) and making a custom menu for a DVD ....
The only thing I can think of ....

Make a Word.docx file that looks something like This (with your poster artwork)
Add the links to the videos in your external HDD to the artwork in the docx file.
Save it as a web page (*.htm *.html) ...
Then click on the html file on your desktop and choose your video.
