I seached for all previous chat history with previous contacts, but could not find it,
as I heard that skype chat records usually be saved on the local hard disk,
I am using window 7, could you please tell step by step where to find them? in which directory? what format?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

All chat history is saved in the maindb database file
    Stop skype from running
Then go to Windows start and search/run type %appdata%\skype and hit enter
In the file explorer window, locate folder with your name user name and you should find the db file

You would also want to download skypelogview to view the db file

    Hope this helps

momtaz, I've merged your threads together again. Please do not start duplicate threads for the same issue. This is about the third or fourth time I've had to do this.

    thanks,
