I had a virus problem , and that probably deleted keys and values associated with several xp services.
Will a repair install (in-place upgrade) of xp reinstall these services ?
Or i need to reinstall XP (with format) , or maybe install sp2 ( i use sp1 ) ?

Thanks.
Luiz.

I always recommend backing up personal data first. But, I think that doing an installation / repair is what you need. If all goes well. Your personal data should be left intact. Good luck. (y)

I only think that sfc /scannow , in my case, will be of little help, as the dllcache folder is empty ....
