    System has Windows ME OS,

I'm getting the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder displaying at the desktop everytime I boot the PC.

Can someone assist in how to prevent this from happening, remove from startup, etc. I looked but could not see this folder as part of the startup sequence.

    Thank you - Bob

Go to Start/Programs/Startup and see if there is a shortcut to that folder. If there is, delete it.

Go here http://www.regvac.com/ and download and install the program called RegVac. It is a great program for cleaning your computers registery. Put it in the NOVICE mode after install and click CLEAN. After your free trial has expired you may want to purchase it, as it is a great program.

This should get rid of the window that keeps opening at startup.

Let us know if that helps!!
