I received an urgent message under a friends name in an email. This message warned me about a virus she may have passed on to me. I was directed to delete SULFNBK.exe immediately or lose my hard drive. The message said the virus was slow working and so would not be picked up by Norton or McAfee antivirus programs. Since it was someone I knew , I deleted . Then I sent the warning to those I had contacted and learned this was a hoax. Later I learned that my friend had not even sent it, although I can't see how someone could have used her name to me. My server tells me I deleted something essential to Windows 98 and suggested going on the net to find out how to replace it. Please help me.
