You should be able to export your bookmarks from the Bookmarks Manager by going to Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks... from FireFox, and then going to File > Export from the Bookmark Manager.

You could then save the file and send to yourself as an attachment in an email, or save to disk. Later you can Import your bookmarks by going to Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks..., File > Import, and selecting the "From File" option and clicking on Next.

There's also a good tutorial for FireFox at http://mozilla.gunnars.net/firefox_bookmarks_tutorial.html which has some screen shots, too.
