    Hey ^.^

    I'm currently on an ADSL plan with a Siemens Speedstream 4200 modem.

    I have my main computer connected to the internet at the moment but I'd like to connect an additional computer and my laptop.

    So...how would I go about getting the internet to 2 PCs and a laptop at the same time?
    What device would be best? And what do I look for in buying one?

    My original thought was:
    modem-->4 port router-->PCs and laptop

    But apparently I can go:
    modem-->4 port switch-->PCs and laptop?

    Thanks ^^

    The Speedstream 4200 is a router, so all you need is an inexpensive Ethernet switch. If you told us what country you're in, we could probably point you in the right direction. In the US, you can have a switch for $10-15.

    Well, I'd suggest checking the Aussie mail-order sites, probably the cheapest way to get an Ethernet switch. :)
