You could use a split archive, which would enable you email it using Gmail, Yahoo, etc.

Or file transfer between the person and you through msn or yahoo or one of the chat programs, depending on if the program is working properly some chat programs are like a shopping trolley in that they only work when they feel like it.

Also I think there are sites you can join like hello where you can transfer stuff with another user.

There companies like FileFactory that offer free or low cost hosting of uploaded files. They all have various limits and restrictions for file sizes, storage periods, and allowable bandwidth.

letchwort, I typically use the free service from www.yousendit.com when I need to get a large file to someone. They have worked out well for me but because of their 100 MB file size limit for the free service, I did not recommend them to nichos to solve their particular problem. I found FileFactory with a Google search but have never tried them.

Many ISPs provide Online Storage. Comcast has 1 GB per email address. You can upload the file to your online storage (may have to mark it as public), and send the person a link to the file.

AT&T is another ISP that has "Personal Pages" .. That you can upload and link to.
Comcast and AT&T can have one, 1GB page, per Email address.
They do not have to be marked as public .. to Email a link to the file.

You can easily Upload using IE.

A quick example of a LINK to a Comcast page

Why not just post it on YouTube and make it private. Then share it with people on your friends list.

The fastest way to do it, would be to run a free FTP server on your system (e.g. FileZilla) and then email your friend your IP address and login details for the FTP server. They could then download it via FTP. If you have a router, you would need to forward the FTP port to the computer that is running the FTP server and also setup a rule in any firewall software you may be running, and most ISPs don't provide static IP addresses, so the address would only be valid for a day or two.
