how to synchronize a file.

    hi everyone,

    I have seen an option in Accessories/synchronize.actuall how does it it work and how to make it work.i think it updates file in 2 diffrent systems.
    how does it work.
    i our office we have 10 systems,people here access a folder which is kept in sharing they copy the file work on it and past it back in that system.could this be made easy by using synchronize option.
    plz help me out of this.
