How to uninstall Windows Media Player ?

you cant completely uninstall it. its part of windows xp. all u can do when u try to uninstall it, is it will roll u back to the previous version which i believe is 9. hope this helps u.

Do not use registry utilities to remove programs. That is absolutely awful advice.

Leave Windows Media Player installed. If you don't want to use it, change your file associations.
