i rectly created a partition for linux but i didn't use so went on to remove it again but something seems to be the issue and now i can't add it to my main drive. The unallocated space is blacked out and option for extending the volume is greyed out. any step by step process will be helpful. and sorry is this is the wrong place for this issue i couldn't find it...

Don't know what your "main drive" is. You should be able, even with Disk Management, to extend that 906 MB partition to include all or part of the unallocated space. If you want to add it to some other partition you have to move things around to get the unallocated space adjacent to the partition whose size you want to increase.
