Is there a particular driver you need?
Is something giving you trouble?
Right click Windows Start >Left Click Device Manager. Look for a Yellow triangle with a black mark in it.
Right click >Update driver
I'm currently using a desktop purchased in 2009 and a laptop from 2013. I've owned 16 computers running Windows so far.
I can't recall the last time I felt it necessary to update drivers. Running Windows 7, I made sure to turn off driver updates,
I only look for a newer drive IF I'm having a particular problem. If the computer isn't giving you problems, then you probably don't need to update the drivers.
