 i have a sony with intergraded (802.11 b/g)wireless. if i go out to my garage i have a week signal and drops incur.

how can i ad an antenna. i know if i had an external wifi card i could just add on a stronger DBI antenna but if my lap top has an internal intergraded card what can i do to increase its range?

    thanks

You could get a wireless access point, but it would have to be hard wired to the existing router somehow. We have two through out the house and they work pretty well....but, we have cat 5 built into the wall in many locations through out the house.

Basically what your asking is not possible you can't do anything on the laptop side short of adding hardware the only other option is extending the network range like AcaCandy mentions.
