Hp cd-rwiter

    my hp cd-writer 8200 will no longer format my cd rw ( I have formated many in the past) I tried re installing the software but no luck I need help please Terry

    Is it still able to write a cd ? And is it reading the cdrw correctly ?

    Yes I can read & write cd-wr ok all is working well exept formating a cd-wr disk thank you for your replies Terry

    I would think it's a software issue if it can read/write the CD-RW media, but not do the format function...

    Thanks johnwill I have tried formating 74 mins & 80 mins cd-wr disks ( I do not think I will ever get this right ) Terry

    Since you say you reinstalled the software, have you looked for patches and updates for it?
