    Hi,

A friend of mine has a HP G62-225NR laptop with Windows 7 that will not power on. She was using the computer, the battery died, and she hasn't been able to get it start since. We have tried to hard restart it as mentioned in Troubleshooting No LED Lights Glow During Startup or Boot , and have had no success. When the ac adapter is connected the charging light does not illuminate. The power adapter port appears to be undamaged. All help is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried another power adapter? It may be dead. The DC jack in the laptop may also be broken, sometimes it's hard to tell from the outside if there's a broken pin or connection.

I tested the charger with another computer and with my multimeter, and the charger works correctly. I tried another charger and still had no success. How hard would it be to get to the dc jack, to check for a loose or broken connection? Thanks for the help.

In most cases it requires a near complete dis-assembly of the laptop.

    Is it under warranty?
