I was having problems with unexpected shutdowns and the laptop was operating really slow and sometmes the operating system froze.

I have checked for viruses etc but it appears clean, also have norton installed.

yesterday the battery stopped charging and I can no longer use the laptop as it just will not power up when plugged in.

someone suggested it may be the charging unit, is this the part right where the power cable is plugged in because this part was getting very hot.

The battery worked until it stopped charging up and the battery could be used for about an hour before needing recharging.

going to check the cable on a friends laptop to check if that is the problem and may be able to check the battery.

currently on an old tower to contact you, any help would be great thanks in advance
