    I have been trying to resolve my friends problem with her laptop - HP G7000,running vista;
    when watching itv player,the laptop is over heating...other video related uses are not problematic..just when using itv player...i have checked the itv player with my laptop (thinkpad t61) and cpu use is low (less than 20%)
    any suggestions please?
    thanks in advance...Steve

    don't get me wrong but G7000 is a budget laptop while t61 is business class. Cheaper laptops often have inefficient cooling and can run hot, especially AMD based ones

    Thanks for the speedy reply steve,
    I agree,and personally would never buy a budget machine.I was reading about problems with the graphics chip,maybe theyve fixed this issue in newer models(G7000),i'll get more data...age of machine,and processor,memory
