HP is wearing me down. I’m sick of little windows telling me “low on ink” and “wrong cartridge” because I’m using generic cartridges that are much cheaper and hold much more ink.

But I’m at my wit’s end and when ink is needed next I will buy HP cartridges just so I won’t have those annoying alerts all the time and have my three year old F2120 printer disabled.

Any ideas or suggestions before I bail??? Thanks.

you should be able to stop the HP startup thats monitoring the printer

    it will be in startups

    Start> Run {search bar in Vista/W7}> msconfig
    startup TAB

what listed there with HP in the name or the directory -

Also go to Start - Run - SERVICES.MSC - OK

Double-click on all entries that begin with HP or hp

Change "Startup Type" to Manual, then click Apply - OK.

    Restart the computer.
