had a crash a few weeks ago and had to re-install all my programs on a new hard drive.
having problems with my printer installation.
HP has discontinued support on the printer....got the driver from their web site and installed.
problem......printer has slowed dramatically and it always wants to do a "configuration in progress"....also word is not accepting the printer.
have installed, un-installed, re-installed a number of times now and can't get rid of the problem.
never had a problem before the crash.

HELP!!!!!

just to let you know, your reply was never received by me. the only way i saw a reply was when i went back to my original posting.
