Hello, I'm wanting to connect an external monitor to my laptop which involves the fn key. However I can't seem to get the fn keys to work, I already tried looking for the action key setting my the setup/bios area, but the settings were missing. Could I get help with either connecting the external monitor a different way or having the fn key working, thanks!

When adding new information it's best to make a new reply as helpers don't get notifications when posts are edited. Also, it's not necessary to quote the person unless you are addressing different people in a thread.

My apologies, I'm a little new to this website. I'll add a new comment for the specs

Have you tried connecting the external Monitor to the laptop and switching the Monitor on before switching the laptop on ?
