How about some history to the problem. Did it work before? Did you change anything with your system before the problem started or you just turned things on one day and it won't work? Will it print a test page? What happens when you try to print? What is your operating system?

It was on and I had done some printing which was ok. Ten minutes later I tried to print again and got nothing, the lights on the printer don't even flash. I tried to copy something, for a test and it copied fine. I've tried shutting everthing off, several times and still have no change. I am using a XL operating system, No it doesn't print a test page.

The fact that the PSC750 copies just means that the fault is either in the PC, the USB cord or the USB interface in the printer.

The PSC750 has no reliance on the PC to do a local copy.

Do you get any error message whatever?

However I am at sea when it comes to an "XL" operating system, I will just assume you mean "XP"

Try uninstalling the printer software under "Add/Remove programs" in Control Panel. Load a new copy of the HP printer software and do a full reinstall.
