To start I'm running Windows ME on a HP Pavilion XE783. I've done the Spyware and virus checks and everything appears ok.
The problem is that when I start the machine it begins normally then "The Dialup Screen" appears and then the wrong username appears automatically, and then it starts dialing. (The name inserted is my Wifes as this is her computor.) After I cancel the premiture dialing the "dialup screen" appears again, with the correct username this time, however it does not dial, and after I cancel that screen windows continues to boot and everything seems to be OK.
Any Ideas. Sorry about the long post but this is driving me nuts.

    Thanks
    Dennis

Run spybot search and destroy, adaware, and hijack this. Post the hijack log.
