Ok, first timer here. Friend has a HP with a dead cdrw drive. I'm going to replace it but the case bezel has a flip door that opens by the drive tray so only the drive tray and not the cdrw bezel is visible. the eject button would be behind it. Does anyone know what other brand will fit into this without having to cut the bezel of the case? I haven't dug too deep into it yet, Hoping to find a answer beforehand.
Thanks for your time.

I suspect that removing the entire CD-RW and the front panel, will leave a standard "hole" that any CD-RW will fit into. It will not "look" exactly the same but should work just fine (and look like a normal CD-RW drive does?)

If it's like the HP systems I've seen, the entire CD drive, including the front panel, fits behind that flip-open panel. The eject button on the case just lines up with the button on the CD, note that they're all in the same place on different brands. :)
